Stuffed Jalapenos

  • 12-400 large green Jalapenos
  • Jalapeno Baking Tray's
  • Velvetta cheese
  • Bacon Bits
  • Sweet Turkey Sausage
  • Cream Cheese
  • Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
  • Imitation Crab Meat

Cooking Directions:

  1. The preparation of the Jalapenos can be rather overwhelming depending on how many you are getting ready so be careful.  I recommend using gloves and a Jalapeno Core tool.  Cut the top off each chili and core the inside being careful to remove all seeds and as much of the veins as you can. The mixture is easy and the above list is just the tip of the iceberg.  Here are the four I used at EggFest:
  2. The first is a combination of Velveeta cheese and Bacon Bits.
  3. Second mixture, Sweet Turkey Sausage and Cream Cheese.
  4. Next mixture is imitation Crab Meat and Cream Cheese.
  5. Lastly, use the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Yes I said Cookie Dough. Trust me its worth it.

Remember when stuffing your peppers to only fill to about 80% as it will expand.

Fire up your egg and once it is going put your plate setter in and the grill on top of it.  Cooking temperature should be no higher than 225 for at least 1 hour and 45 minutes.  Remember the key to cooking the Jalapenos is indirect heat and "Low and Slow".    This will mellow out the spicy pepper and make for a great appetizer.  Regardless, there is always a rouge pepper.  Get ready!
